Build a Child's Hi-Chair or Cradle that your family will enjoy. Learn to Build a Project in separate modules and then Assemble the Modules together.

 

The following are specific woodworking technologies presented.

  • Interpret working drawings
  • Learn Safety standards for infant's and children's furniture.
  • Fabricate sections into sub-assembles instead of building the entire piece at once
  • Acquire Knowledge of Infant and child ergonomics.
  • Understand Construction techniques for children's furniture.
    (all smooth edges, no pinch points, etc.)
  • Learn about Child Safe finishes.

 

Class for AGES 18 and UP or School's Permission

Class # SPI-651

A certificate is awarded upon class completion

Prerequisites:

     Master Woodworking Program Courses or with consent of the instructor 
     NO materials or tools needed.

 

The class takes forty-eight hours in eight hour blocks of time over a six-day period.  Days and times may be altered depending on the circumstances.

 

FEES:
Tuition $939.00 + Laboratory $375.00 + Materials (solid oak) $125.00 = $1,439.00 and you keep the project.
