Fundamentals of Production Techniques

Build a beautiful nightstand for your bedroom set!

 

Thirty-two lab hours of woodworking experience. This project will advance you well beyond amateur status.

 

The following are specific woodworking technologies presented.

• Interpret working drawings
• Learn how to use joinery techniques for smaller pieces of wood
• Fabricate sections into sub-assembles
• Acquire proficiency in laying out holes for precision boring
• Accomplish compound angle layout with ease
• Understand complex machining

 

Class for AGES 18 and UP or School's Permission

Class # VF-100

A certificate is awarded upon class completion

Prerequisites:

    SPI-600, 601, 603, 613 or with consent of the School.

    NO materials or tools needed.

 

The class takes thirty-two hours in eight hour blocks of time over a four-day period.  Days and times may be altered depending on the circumstances.

 

FEES:
Tuition $739.00 + Laboratory $375.00 + Materials (solid oak) $125.00 = $1,239.00 and you keep the project.
