Build an Wooden Strip Canoe that the whole family will enjoy, (with prior approval of School) or Learn to Build Adirondacks Chairs and a Table to use in the yard

 

The following are specific woodworking technologies presented.

  • Interpret working drawings
  • Learn how to make Forms to bend wood around
  • Fabricate sections into sub-assembles instead of building the entire piece at once
  • Acquire proficiency in laying out holes for precision boring
  • Understand complex machining, and what woods to use for out door construction
  • Accomplish building a canoe or outdoor chair

Class for AGES 18 and UP or School's Permission

Class # SPI-620

A certificate is awarded upon class completion

Prerequisites:

   Master Woodworking Program Courses or with consent of the instructor

   NO materials or tools needed.

 

The class takes seventy-two hours in eight hour blocks of time over eight-day period.  Days and times may be altered depending on the circumstances.

 

FEES:
Tuition $1650.00 + Laboratory $400.00 + Materials (solid oak) $675.00 = $2725.00 and you keep the project.
