Make a Small Stool/ Picture Frame/ or Small Shaker Table

 

Gain Confidence and Learn New Skills! Enjoy Sixteen hours of woodworking. This experience is for the beginner through the amateur. Trainers are noted for their tips and hints allowing you to produce a better project. The class familiarizes you with wood technology, furniture construction techniques, safe machine operation and tool set sharpening.

 

The following are specific woodworking technologies presented.

  • Interpreting plans
  • Selecting wood species
  • Recognizing machining characteristics of selected wood species
  • Laying out project parts patterns to maximize wood usage
  • Squaring wood with a Jointer, Surfacer and Saw
  • Selecting the correct glue (adhesive) and applying
  • Learn correct clamping techniques
  • Choosing the proper sanding paper

A certificate is awarded upon class completion

NO prerequisites; NO background in woodworking; NO materials required; NO tools needed

 

The class takes Sixteen hours in eight hour blocks of time over atwo-day period . Days and times may be altered depending on the circumstances.

 

Fees:
Tuition $200.00 + Laboratory $100.00 + Materials (Solid Stock) $25.00 = $325.00 and you keep the project.
