Founder of American Woodworking Academy in 1993, offering studies in cabinetry, furniture, panel products and finishing. The school is approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, National Veterans Association, Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation, Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation, Wisconsin Vocational Rehabilitation and St. Charles County Community College. All recognize the one year Master Woodworking Certificate Program. St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley offers Adult Education in woodworking, taught by American Woodworking Academy staff. Missouri home schoolers attend for industrials arts courses.
Teaching Activities:
Created and taught all certified courses before they were submitted for Department of
Elementary and Secondary Education approval. Developed course work and handouts. Oversees
job and career goals of incoming students. Lectures at local junior high science classes,
Research Performed:
Recording data for Beta testing. Help local High schools research their woodworking
programs.
Academy Duties:
Administrative duties, preparation, design and operation of web site, periodicals,
announcements, workshops and speaking engagements. Part time instruction of all
woodworking courses. Assist in student placement.
Community Services:
St. Louis Woodworkers Guild membership committee member, local relationship with
Scouts and Department of Conservation.

Commercial foundation and structural concrete. Residential and commercial revitalization in city dwellings working in conjunction with Historic Society.
Residential framing and high end finish case work with St. Louis's #1 builder. Includes dewinding stair cases, multiple moldings, panel products and ceilings, including installations in some of St. Louis's finest buildings. Archway Cabinet Company, Mayor homes, office buildings, Personnel Estates of Rufker, T-Bill Construction, Emerson Electric's Lodge, Kirkwood City Hall, Francis Howell Senior High. (1974-1984)

Founder and developer of center. Worked with other Educational institutions for site development Educational goals.
1998: Woodworking Masters, Cabinet shop of fine furnishings.
1997: American Woodworking Consultants, serving the industry.
1996: Member of St. Louis Woodworkers Guild and speaker.
Instructed and served as advisor to Emerson in development
of Beta tool site
for Craftsman's tools.
1995: Received approval as a Missouri private school under guidelines of Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Accepted as Beta site for Incra Jig products.
Created a training program for Veterans, Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation, UAW-General Motors, and Chrysler.
Launched a Web Site for American Woodworking Academy, for marketing, sales and educational needs.
Served as a speaker on two woodworking circuits in Missouri, Kansas, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois on various subjects.
Member of Wood Turners of America.
1994: Implemented a job program with Missouri JTPA.
Developed the one year Master Woodworking Program with Missouri TRA and local Community College.
Author of biweekly column on woodworking for the O'Fallon Journal.
Published a quarterly tri-fold on woodworking and tips.
1993:Created a Beta testing site for Join-Tec equipment.
Shop Smith Woodworking,'Inc., Woodworking Instructor St. Louis, Missouri, (1990-1993) Acted as liaison to other educational and industrial associations. Taught, developed, and implemented new courses. Created handouts, reference material and organized field trips to area industry. Attended various trade shows and demonstrated products. Hosted weekly sawdust session of woodworking techniques. Assisted in creating a nationwide program to develop new academies. Began Beta testing for Shop Smith tools in 1991. Implemented a Beta site for Porter Cable hand tools in 1992. Created a training program with St. Charles County Community College, UAW-General Motors, Chrysler and McDonnell Douglas Corporation. Expanded Ford Motor Company's woodworking program.
